Long time, no post. For those of you who have checked my blog out and left comments... thank you very much. So, It's been a while since I've put anything up. And for good reason. As we all know, it's the holiday season, which means a lot of Rankin-Bass stop-mo parody. This also means more work for those of us in the industry. I had the pleasure of working with the guys at Chiodo Bros. on the newly released webasodes for American Eagle Apparel. My job title was 'Fabricator'. Which means I was a Jack-of-all-trades on set. Most of my work was building backgrounds and props for the 'Frosty', 'Gifts', and 'Mistletoe Party' episodes. For the other two, I was on call for touch-ups, construction, and some minor puppet fabrication. This was a great job, and I owe many thanks to Charlie, Stephen, and Edward.
Check out this link to watch the shorts.

Currently, at the time of this post, two episodes are available for viewing, with the other three being released on the 11th. After that date, I will post more photos pertaining to those episode. For now, I'm only showing off pics for 'Home for the Holidays' and 'Devils Peak'. Another treat for those of you who watch Heroes... Milo Ventamiligia, aka Peter Patrelli, co-produced these shorts. He was gracious enough to stop by in the later stages of the production and by lunch for everyone. A final note on this production... There was a timeline of about 6 weeks. A lot of people put in a lot of hours to make these shorts possible. In my opinion, for the resources allowed, this is a raging success.
Shown in photos, from top to bottom, we have Kent animating 'Devil's Peak'. Pete Levin animating 'Gifts', which isn't out yet, but Oh well, I couldn't resist. Then we have Charlie and Greg working on the foam mountain for 'Devil's Peak', with Drex the DP in the background... goofy guy. Next is Greg Sesma, trimming the flashing off of a Rudolph puppet for 'Gifts'. In the 'Home for the Holidays' pictures we have Matt Manning, the marathon animator. Along with Matt is a solo shot of the puppets on stage in their airplane seats. And finally we have two production stills from 'Devil's Peak'.
